BALINALE
2009
International
Film
Festival
announced
 today
 the
line‐up
of
25
 films
selected
from
13
countries
from
across
the
world,
showcasing
classic
films,
contemporary
cutting‐edge
 features,
children’s
and
animated
films,
documentaries
and
short‐films
by
both
international
and
Indonesian
 filmmakers,
including
a
film
workshop
to
be
conducted
by
an
international
filmmaker.
All
film
showings
and
 workshops
will
be
held
at
the
Cinema
21
DFS
Galleria
in
Kuta,
Bali,
on
20‐25
October
2009.

Following
 the
 Acting
 Workshop
 conducted
 by
 senior
 film
 Indonesian
 actor
 Didi
 Petet
 in
 mid
 July,
 and
 a
 Young
Indonesian
Film
Circle
Workshop
in
conjunction
with
the
Ubud
Writers
and
Readers
Festival
in
early
 October
 this
 year,
 BALINALE has
 also
 invited
 accomplished
 film
 producer
 Davina
 Belling
 to
 conduct
 two
 other
workshops
during
the
Festival
on
what
is
involved
in
developing
and
putting
a
film
together.

Davina,
 who
 served
 as
 co‐chair
 of
 BAFTA
 LA,
 was
 on
 the
 committee
 for
 the
 Academy
 of
Motion
 Pictures
Nicholls
 Fellowship
Screenwriting
Contest
and
participated
in
Writer’s
Block
panel
seminars,
has
produced
numerous
 films
over
38
years.

Her
company,
Film
and
General
Productions,
produced
renowned
films
such
as
Norman
 Jewison’s
‘Other
 People’s
Money’
 and
 Franco
 Zeffirelli’s
‘Tea
With
Mussolini’,
 and
most
 recently
 won
 the
 BAFTA
Award
for
Best
Children’s
Television
Drama

productions

promote
the

creative
